Boston (Mass.), May 2nd 2022 —Today, at ATA’s 26th Annual Conference, Oro Health, one of Canada’s “Top 10, most promising tech startups for 2022” in MedTech for asynchronous telemedicine, announces the launch of a platform, dedicated to helping medical specialist practitioners, clinics and healthcare providers harness the full potential of AI in a data secured environment. Enabling faster and easier patient’s consultation flow and improved access to healthcare.

Oro’s platform features a dynamic intelligent triage, which enables quick categorization and assessment of a patient’s condition. In addition, numerous integrated tools such as predefined templates for prescription, diagnosis and treatment, enabled by AI, all create an invaluable platform for both patients and practitioners. By receiving the relevant medical information, the system refers a patient to the appropriate medical specialist for treatment.

« “A game changer in the industry, Oro Health solutions offers a breakthrough technology for medical specialists that is more efficient and helps more patients, faster,” says Patricia Dorne, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Oro Health. “Our solution helps patients avoid long waitlists, provides quick access to a medical specialist and patients will receive a diagnosis and a treatment plan within 24 hours.”  »

The system has also proven its efficiency in teledermatology with Dermago, Oro Health’s technology, and first Asynchronous Teledermatology direct to the patient platform established in Canada in 2018. The secure asynchronous consultation service aims to provide direct access to dermatologists for the treatment of minor skin conditions such as acne, eczema, rosacea, hair loss and psoriasis.

To date, the platform has enabled 26,000 Canadian patients to obtain, within just a few hours, a diagnosis of minor skin conditions from a certified dermatologist, without needing to be referred by a general practitioner beforehand.

It has also proven its efficiency as a confidential online STD testing service, These have both shown a very high patient satisfaction rate.

Oro solutions can also be adapted to many other medical fields, including cardiology, urology, ophthalmology, endocrinology and many other specialities.

Your medical data is always kept private and secure. We take a proactive approach to safeguarding your personal, health data by using our OroVault end-to-end encryption application.  This ensures  that all clinical records shared between patients and medical staff are safe and secure  and can only be accessed by you and your clinician.

The OroVault compliance goes beyond the most stringent security regulations in Canada (PIPEDA), the United States (HIPAA) and Europe (GDPR).

« “We are extremely proud to be recognized as one of the Top 10 Most Promising Canada Tech Startups in 2022 by CIO Review, as well as one of the Top 20 Canada Healthcare Tech Solution Providers in 2022 by Healthcare Tech Outlook '' says Dorne, “As we see continued growth in the advancement of virtual healthcare, we understand the importance of providing the best solutions to our clients and their patients and are thrilled to be acknowledged for those accomplishments.” »

A direct outcome of Dermago’s tremendous success, Oro Health offers artificial intelligence-based solutions for medical specialists looking to leverage the full potential of technology. By improving the quality and rapidity of care, physicians offer patients better access to their expertise, in a data secured environment, at the time and place of their choosing. Our mission is to improve the daily lives of patients and physicians through innovative technological solutions to ensure quality and efficiency in healthcare.

Launched in Quebec in 2018, Dermago was the first 100% asynchronous teledermatology clinic to allow fast, direct and secure access to dermatologists for the treatment of minor skin conditions like acne, eczema, rosacea, anti-aging, hair loss and psoriasis. Dermago was imagined and founded by Dr. Marc-André Doré and Dr. Émilie Bourgeault, two dermatologists looking to improve access to care for Canadian patients. Supported by a team of dermatologists, physician assistants and specialized nurse practitioners, the service is now available across Canada.

*Asynchronous telemedicine, unlike conventional telemedicine, does not require an appointment between the patient and the doctor. Exchanges are instead carried out continuously via secure instant messaging, at the convenience of both parties, which greatly improves time management for all.
